A Digital Publication Scanner With Sizable Advantages.

The first big advantage of the Minolta PS 7000 is face-up scanning: the ability to scan valuable books without too much handling. For large-sized books, archival records, artwork, ledgers, legal documents and other bound materials, face-up scanning eliminates the need to turn volumes over in face-down position- offering greater protection to fragile bindings.

With a scanning area of 17” x 23 3/8”, the PS 7000 lets you scan even oversized bound volumes with ease. You’ll get clean, crisp images, with up to 600 dpi resolution. You can output your scanned image direct to PC or printer, and a single button switches your output from PC-connect to direct-print mode. Scan, save, share, print - Minolta does it all!

Minolta PS 7000
FEATURES
  • Image Editing
erase center shadow during open book scanning, enable frame masking and select finger masking.

  • Resolution
Optional image resolution settings provide outputs of 600dpi.

  • Set PC or Printer
Direct Print or PC-Connect Mode – a single button switches your PS 7000 output from printer to PC.

  • Simple Controls
On your Minolta PS 7000 make scanning bound volumes quick and simple, even for first-time users.

  • Gentle Lighting
The PS 7000 utilizes a gentle halogen lamp that provides constant lighting with minimal heat and no damage to the scanned object – even with continuous use.

  • Face-Up Scanning is faster
and better for bound materials, because you don’t have to handle them repeatedly or press down on bindings. One scan produces multiple copies, another advantage to minimize light exposure on rare or deteriorated books.

  • Optional 90 Degree Book Cradle
with 3 different settings for enhanced book spine support.

  • Automatic Curve Correction
compensates for page curvature at the center spine. The PS 7000 can also automatically mask borders, erase shadows, and erase the image of fingers holding open the pages of bound materials. With auto focus and auto exposure, you can scan accurately without time-consuming manual adjustment.
